DIY Your Own Back to School Pencil Banner for those cute First Day of School Pictures!!

If you have a Cricut you can skip to step 2 and use this cut file - I used a Cricut for mine but you can go either way!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock or construction paper (pink, grey, yellow, beige and black)

  • Glue runner or glue stick ( I prefer this glue runner! )

  • Scissors

  • Cotton String or Yarn

  • This FREE Template or you can purchase the cut file from my etsy shop here

  • Printer to print the template

Step 1:

Print and cut out the template

Let’s Get Craftin’!

Step 2:

Trace each template 12 times on to the correct color cardstock

Cricut Users:
If you are using Cricut load svg into Cricut and start cutting
Font Used is - BCF Happy Winters (Cricut system fonts; you will have to un-check kerned fonts to find it)

Step 3:

Cut and glue each pencil together


Step 4:

String together each pencil in order and you are ready to hang it!
I prefer to hang banner into three sections, I feel it is easier to read. But you can always do one long banner!
